Bridging the Gap Locally

Our mission is simple: to loop surplus resources back into our local neighborhood to lift up the people who need it most. By organizing donation drives with local companies, schools, and organizations in Yokohama, we gather essential items—like educational toys, books, stationery, and snacks.

We personally sort and deliver these goods directly to Yokohama's single-mother households and 学童保育 centers. We believe that by working together, we can reduce waste, relieve financial stress for parents, and ensure every child has what they need to learn and play.

From San Francisco to Yokohama

Hi! I’m a high school student living a cross-cultural life—attending school in San Francisco while living right here in Yokohama. Straddling these two vibrant cities showed me how powerful community-led support can be, but it also made me realize that families everywhere face similar challenges.

Seeing the strength of single mothers and the vital role that after-school care (学童保育) plays in a child's development, I wanted to take action. I realized we don't always need to buy new things to make a difference; we just need to connect the dots. That is how Loop & Lift was born.
